Ranger Challenge is the "varsity sport" of Army
ROTC. Cadets train separately from the rest of the battalion 5 days a week
and some weekends to prepare for a competition.
The Gateway Battalion sent a 9-member team to a competion held at Fort Leonardwood,
MO. The team earned eleventh place out of 28 teams from the mid-western region.
Coached by Master Sergeant Jackson, the team performed especially well on
the 10-kilometer ruck-run and the one-rope bridge events.
The Ranger Challenge motto is,
?COURAGE NEVER QUITS!?
