Major Renysha Brown

Major Brown is an Assistant Professor of Military Science and serves as the Recruiting Operations Officer at Washington University in St. Louis, MO.  MAJ Brown has over 18 years of total military service with three years on active duty as an enlisted soldier.  She is currently serving as the State Supply Management Officer for the Illinois Army National Guard.

 

MAJ Brown received her commission through the Illinois Army National Guard State Officer Candidate School (OCS) in 1995.  She earned her Bachelors of Science Degree from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois in 1996.  Her military education includes Quartermaster Officer Basic and Advance courses, Combined Arms and Services Staff School (CAS3), Multifunctional Combat Service and Support School (FA 90A), Intermediate Level Education (ILE), and Equal Opportunity Advisor Course.

 

MAJ Brown has served as a Petroleum Supply Specialist, Platoon Leader, Battalion Supply and Services Officer, Battalion Ammunitions Officer, Company Commander, Battalion Plans Officer, Brigade Service and Supply Officer, and State Supply Management Officer in Illinois. Her major deployments include Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom II. Her awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, The Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Service Medal, the Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 Battle Stars, and the Kuwait Liberation Medals of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

 

She is a native of E. St. Louis, Illinois. She is married with two children.
