Master Sergeant Threats is the Senior Military Instructor at the St. Louis SROTC Battalion (Gateway), located at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He serves as the primary instructor for the MS III course taught at the host and partnership campuses.

He is a native of Port Arthur, Texas and entered the United States Army on July 30, 1987. He completed Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training as a Cannon Fire Direction Specialist (13E) at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He has served in leadership and staff positions to include: Section Chief, Senior Instructor Writer, Recruiting Station Commander, Platoon Sergeant, Senior Fire Control Element Sergeant, Operations Sergeant, and First Sergeant.
His assignments include two tours at Fort Sill, Germany, Fort Bragg, Fort Polk, and the Houston Recruiting Battalion. His military schools include: Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, the Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, Equal Opportunity Course, Unit Movement Course, TAITC Course, U.S. Army Risk Management Safety Course, Combat Lifesaver Course, Noncommissioned Officer Battle Staff Course, and Army Recruiter Course. He currently holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Cameron University.
MSG Threats’ awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Drivers Badge Wheel and Track, and Recruiter Badge with three Sapphires.  He is also a member of the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara.
