| Military Instructor Positions: Non Commissioned Officers who have successfully held positions as Squad Leaders, Platoon Sergeants, and First Sergeants will have the opportunity to train the future leaders of the Army as an instructor in the Gateway Battalion. Responsibilities can include teaching MS I and II classes, Thursday and Saturday Leadership Labs, duties assigned in support of Fall and Spring BN and BDE FTX's, NCOIC of Rifle Team, Color Guard, and Ranger Challenge Team, supporting Operations, Personnel, and Unit Supply sections. |
Assistant Professor of Military Science Positions: Commissioned Officers who have successfully held positions as Platoon Leaders, Company Commanders and have Staff Experience will have the opportunity to train future leaders of the Army as Assistant Professors of Military Science. Responsibilities can include teaching MS I and II classes, Staff Positions of S1, S3, S4, serving as OIC of Color Guard, Rifle Team, Ranger Challenge Team, Thursday and Saturday Leadership Labs, and duties assigned in support of Fall and Spring BN and BDE FTX's. |
All Applicants will be screened by the Senior Military Instructor ,Gateway Battalion Executive Officer,and endorsed by the Professor of Military Science prior to sending a packet forward to the 8th BDE (SROTC) requesting a TPU transfer into the Gateway Battalion. Soldiers interested in joining the Gateway Battalion should review the guidelines in the Application Process for Senior Reserve officer Training Corps (SROTC) Positions within the 8th BDE, 95th Division(IT) and complete the Application Form , gather all of the required documents, and coordinate to meet with the Gateway Battalions Senior Military Instructor and Executive Officer to interview for positions within this unit.
