Gateway Battalion Army ROTC

Are held one weekend per semester at Fort Leonardwood.  During this time cadets are trained on small unit tactics, rappelling, obstacles courses, land navigation, leadership reaction courses, marksmanship and more.

Leader Development and Assessment Course is held at Fort Lewis during the cadets junior and senior year and runs for 29 days.  Other training opportunities can be found on the Training Opportunities Tab

Physical Training is held three times a week  Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and can be taken at Washington  or Lindenwood University.

Labs are held on Thursday afternoon and can cover drill and ceremonies, small unit tactics, water survival, marksmanship, first aid, and more.

Some of the clubs which a cadet can join are Ranger Challenge (Varsity sport of ROTC), Color Guard, Rifle Team, and Pershing Rifles.   Our yearly events include cookouts, Military Ball, Dinning In, Dinning Out, and more.

Clubs and Events

The ROTC program is divided into two phases. The Basic Course (first two years) studies Army history, organization and structure. The techniques and principles of leadership and management are stressed throughout. The Advanced Course concentrates on tactical operations and military instruction, as well as advanced techniques of management, leadership and command.
