Requesting an Army Knowledge Account Login | Requesting Access to the Gateway Battalion Knowledge Community Center
1. Go to https://www.us.army.mil/portal/portal_home.jhtml
2. A security alert pop up will appear notifying you that the site uses security certificates and that information that you exchange with this site can not be viewed or changed by others. Click on the yes button on the bottom of the pop up.
3. Scroll to the middle of the page and in the box labeled "New User" click on the link "Register for AKO"
4. Click "Yes" on the security pop up that will appear.
5. MS I-II Cadets click on the"Next" button for Guest Accounts, MS III -IV Cadets click on the "Next" button for Full Accounts"
6. In the Army Sponsor box type in "denise.scalzitti" without the quotes. Your Organization is Gateway Battalion, our address is Campus Box 1206, 1 Brookings Drive, St. Louis, MO 63130.
Once Mrs Scalzitti has verified that you are enrolled your account will be approved and you will be sent an email that states it is activated.
Requesting Access to the Gateway Battalion Knowledge Community Center
1. You must already have an AKO Account, see above for how to get one.
2. Either click on the link to the Gateway Bn Knowledge Community Center off the website main page or click the link here: https://www.us.army.mil/portal/jhtml/FileLoader.jhtml?kcid=902913
3. A Network Password window will open. There type in your AKO Login ID and password. ( Unless it is your personnel computer that is not used by anyone else do not check, save to password list.)
4. The Army Knowledge Community Page will load. Click on the subscribe now button.
5. CPT Carter will verify that you are enrolled and provide you access to the site.
